Telugu Film Industry once again came under the scanner after almost 3 weeks of peace in Telangana. Earlier today, the screening of Jr.NTR’s ‘Adhurs’ and Manoj’s ‘Bindaas’, was stopped in several areas of Telangana. The reason being, TDP MLA Kodali Nani has been accused by TRS activists of making some baseless allegations on KCR’s daughter, Kavitha. Under this pretext, the TRS activists attacked the Cinema Halls which were screening Adhurs and also Bindaas. Posters were torn and in some places the reel was set on fire while in few other places, the theatres owners had volunteerily shut down. All these incidents happened mostly in Jangaon, Warangal and Karimnagar areas. Meanwhile, back in Hyderabad, the Government has sent police force to patrol the areas and cinema halls screening these two films.
On the other hand, Kodali Nani, who’s associated with ‘Adhurs’ production department, said that earlier when KCR’daughter Kavitha, had appealed to the people to boycott the film and threatened the theatre owners to stop screening on Adhurs, no one took it seriously. Moreover, the police department had sent scores of policeman to the cinema halls to prevent any untoward incidents from happening.
