Sambar flavor is making strong inroads into our movie halls. Suriya, Vikram and Ajith are repeatedly winning battles over our younger heroes like Sushanth, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan Tej., who by the way seem to be stuck in an absurd 1-movie a year ideology. Suriya's Veedokkadae (a remake of Aayan) reported excellent revenues in summer. Ajith is making an entry with Mallika I Love You. Vikram's Mallanna's songs are on everybody's lips and mobile ring tones. Three of the four Telugu radio channels have Mallanana songs in top 3 while Magadheera just about hangs in the top 5. Vikram gives more interviews than Ram Charan Tej. The irony is Vikram's heavily accented "Chennai Telugu (e.g. choosthini, vasthini)" is appreciated for his "attempt" to converse in our lingo. While Ram Charan gives an interview in a Telugu Radio Channel in which over 70% of his responses are in English! It is time that our heroes have good PRs to market their films and themselves.
