Yet another low budget film, Tholi Prema Katha (Boy Meets Girl) has released amdist Balayya’s Legend today. Directed by Vasanth Dayakar, this film has new comers Siddhartha and Kanikha Tiwari in lead roles. Let us check out how this low budget movie fares at the box office.

Story :

Siddhu (Siddhartha) is a creative animator in an animation firm. Since his childhood, he is very much fond of the name Mahalakshmi as he used to love his classmate (Kanikha Tiwari) with the same name.

One fine day, a girl named Mahalakshmi joins his office. As expected, Siddhu becomes very close to this girl. But the girl mistakes his closeness as love, and develops feelings towards Siddhu. As time passes by, she comes to know about Siddhu’s first love, and leaves him wishing the best of luck to find his first love.

Does Siddhu find his first love? If so, how does he find her ? Will she accept Siddhu’s proposal ? For answers to all these questions, you need to watch this film on the silver screen.

Plus Points:

Siddhartha performed well in the lead role, and is especially good in the emotional scenes. Newcomer Kanikha Tiwari has done justice to her role, and the chemistry between the lead pair is pretty good.

Entertainment is the major asset of this film. Comedy scenes among the hero and his friends, provide enough refreshment to the audience. The comic timing of Vennela Kishore, Jabardasth Shankar, Chanti and few others is impressive.

After the first half an hour, the movie gets entertaining and goes at a good pace. Youngsters will connect to a few emotional scenes and dialogues on love pretty well.

Minus Points:

First half an hour of the film is way too slow. Viewers do not get an idea as to where the story is heading and a number of unnecessary scenes creep in.

Songs are a big drawback for the film. Second half has been dragged too much, and becomes predictable after a point of time. Climax of the film is very ordinary and routine.

Technical Aspects:

Cinematography is good except for a few scenes where the lighting is not up to the mark. Editing is average, especially in the first half an hour of the film. As we said earlier, music is a big drawback for this film, and so is the background score.

Director Vasanth Dayakar could have tried to make the second half a little more entertaining. He tried to narrate the plot in a simple and loses his grip on the screenplay. Few of his dialogues are good and touching.

Verdict:

On the whole, Tholi Prema Katha (Boy Meets Girl) is just another ordinary love story. Few comedy scenes will surely go well with the youngsters. You may watch this film, if you have absolutely nothing else to do.
