Charulatha : National Award winning actress Priyamani has come up with a lady oriented film titled 'Charulatha' and the movie has released last Friday across the state. Priyamani plays the role of conjoined twins Charu and Latha in the film. There is a supernatural element to the proceedings. The movie has horror and drama as its main staple ingredients. Pon Kumaran is the director and Ramesh Krishnamoorthy is the producer. The movie has received a lukewarm response at the Box Office.

 Priyamani's performance in the movie is a major highlight and she has delivered brilliantly. Some of the horror scenes in the film have come out well and will succeed in scaring the viewers. Background score in the film is successful in elevating the suspense and the impact of the scenes
 Confused screenplay and poor narration are big minus points. The key twists in the film are revealed without proper effect and this spoils the whole experience of the movie. Comedy track is very bad and outdated. Climax is abrupt and it does not answer many of the questions in the story line.
