The Dark Knight Rises : This year's most eagerly awaited Hollywood movie has been 'The Dark Knight Rises'. The movie has been directed by Christopher Nolan and it is the final installment in the Batman trilogy started by Nolan and Christian Bale. The film has an ensemble star cast and background score from Hans Zimmer. Marion Cotillard and Anne Hathaway provide the glamour. Tom Hardy is the bad guy. The film has opened to terrific collections in India, with strong demand for tickets.

 Superb action sequences, brilliant performances and a solid background score are major plus points for the film. Visual effects are superb and Batman's gadgets are cool. The story is nicely tied up, by incorporating elements from the previous two films. The twists in the film are quite good as well. The emotional bonding with viewers is very strong and the film draws you deeply into the city of Gotham
 Bane's characterization is not as sinister as the Joker's was in the previous installment. The facial expressions of Tom Hardy are barely visible through the mask and the dialogues uttered through his voice are not very easy to understand.
