Sandalwood flick Kantara emerged as one of the blockbusters of 2022. The entire nation loved the way Rishab Shetty narrated it engagingly. Many celebrities heaped praise on this raw and rustic movie and another star performer appreciated the maverick director.
Unlike others, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan sent a personal note to Rishab Shetty saying how much he loved the film. Though he had already appreciated him over the phone, he thought that a personal letter would be a better way to express his feelings about the film. Kamal noted that the film has shades of the classic Nirmalyam by MT Vasudevan. He also mentioned that Rishab Shetty needs to destroy the records of Kantara with his next directorial.
Rishab Shetty is on cloud nine after he was appreciated by the great actor and shared the personal letter on his social media profiles. To note, Kantara is shortlisted in a couple of categories for the Oscars. We need to wait until January 24, 2023, to know whether the movie will be nominated for the Oscars or not.
