It is known to all that Prabhas starrer Salaar and Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki are releasing on 22nd December 2023. This is termed as the biggest clash in the Indian film industry since Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas command a solid following all across the nation.

But the admirers of respective heroes have been indulging in ugly fan wars ever since the release date of Salaar was announced. So much is talked about Dunki Vs. Salaar on social media, and today, a few even started circulating rumors that both films are remakes. A few crossed the line and have begun to spread hate in the name of fanism by posting morphs.

Fans of both heroes need to understand that they are unknowingly causing a great amount of loss to the film industry on which many depend. Salaar and Dunki belong to different genres and are expected to cater to their target audience. If both perform well, many distributors and exhibitors across the country will benefit.

The OTT platforms have already begun to affect the theatrical business, and at such a time, these fan wars will only make things worse. When Hollywood biggies Oppenheimer and Barbie were released alongside, the audience encouraged both films by coming up with the hashtag Barbeheimer instead of getting involved in fan wars. Let’s hope that Prabhas and Shah Rukh Khan will entertain as many people as possible with Salaar and Dunki and do a world of good for the Indian film industry.
