Sandalwood superstar Upendra’s cult movie, A, was released in 1998 and went on to become a huge blockbuster. The film is all set for its re-release on June 21. On this occasion, Upendra interacted with the media and went nostalgic about the movie. He also talked about his Son of Sathyamurthy co-star, Allu Arjun.
Upendra is all praise for Allu Arjun’s dedication. “Allu Arjun’s dedication and professionalism are noteworthy. His commitment, efforts, and honesty towards his craft are what have taken him to where he is now,” Upendra said in an interview with a national news daily. Talking about Son of Sathyamurthy’s director, Trivikram Srinivas, Upendra said that Trivikram is an excellent director and that it was great working with such an actor and director. “I will cherish those memories for a long time,” said the actor-filmmaker.
Talking about A’s re-release, Upendra said that the re-release plan was not his idea and that it was the Telugu distributors who thought that the film had the potential to pull audiences to theaters once again. The actor went on to say that A was a huge money spinner at the box office upon its re-release in Karnataka. “A was a huge blockbuster in 1998. We are hoping that the film will repeat the magic after 26 years,” he concluded.
