Akhil Akkineni is set to portray a tribal character in an upcoming film directed by debutant Anil Kumar for UV Creations, with an official announcement expected soon. Meanwhile, Akhil’s previous film Agent, directed by Surender Reddy, faced challenges at the box office but has now garnered attention for another reason.
Agent, a spy action thriller, has experienced multiple delays for its OTT release on Sony LIV, and movie lovers are awaiting it despite its initial box-office performance. However, the movie is scheduled to premiere first on TV but not on OTT.
The news is that the Hindi version of Agent is confirmed to premiere soon on Goldmines TV channel, though the exact date is yet to be announced. Meanwhile, OTT audiences are eagerly waiting for its digital premiere on Sony LIV, which is still a mystery.
Featuring an ensemble cast including Mammootty, Sakshi Vaidya, and Dino Moriya, Agent boasts the storyline penned by Vakkantam Vamsi and is produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara. Adding to its allure is the musical score composed by Hiphop Tamizha.
