After a long time, senior character artiste Brahmaji turned lead actor with the recently released rural drama, Baapu. The film was released on February 21 to decent reviews, with critics and movie aficionados praising the lead actors’ performances and the intriguing storyline.
As per the latest update shared by Jio Hotstar’s social media handle, Baapu will be available for streaming on its OTT platform from March 7, exactly two weeks after its theatrical release. “One man’s story, one family’s journey,” read the announcement post. Baapu is an emotional rural drama set in a Telangana village. The film explores the plight of a struggling agrarian family.
Baapu also features former heroine Amani, Dhanya Balakrishnan, Srinivas Avasarala, and Mani Aegurla in prominent roles. Directed by K. Dayakar Reddy, the film is produced by Raju and Bhanu Prasad Reddy under the Comrade Film Factory banner. RR Dhruvan composed the music.
