Interview : Allari Naresh – We will introduce newcomers in our production

Comedy King Allari Naresh, is the son of comedy specialist EVV Satyanarayana, who dreamed of making his son a director, but fortunes turned him into a hero. This most popular actor, who is turning 35 this June 30, spoke to us about his future projects. Let’s see what he has to say…

Q) Firstly, what’s special about this years birthday ?

A) This birthday is special because we are re-starting our production house. When my father was a producer, I helped him as an executive producer, but now I and my brother Rajesh will produce films. ‘Bandipotu’ is the debut project under our production. We are planning to release 3 films every year in which I will be acting in one whereas other heroes will feature in the rest two films.

Q) How is ‘Bandipotu’ going to come out?

A) ‘Bandipotu’ is like a Robinhood kind of film. I was impressed with the script when director Indraganti narrated it and had no second thought. In general, Indraganti’s films fair well only in ‘A’ centers, but comedy films do well in every center. We will start the film’s regular shooting from July first week in Rajahmundry.

Q) Your last few films were flops. How are you coping up with failure?

A) In films, we work hard for every film but few don’t do well at the box office. We have to just learn the mistakes from those films and try not repeat them. I had worked hard for ‘Laddubabu’ but due to some misconception, audience thought it would be a out and out entertainer and got disappointed. ‘Hits and flops are common, we have to keep on doing films’. Every flop is an experience.

Q) EVV used to introduce new actors under his production, will you follow the same rule?

A) Yes, we will also introduce newcomers in our films. For example, in ‘Bandipotu’ we are introducing Sampoornesh Babu as an actor. Indraganti also encourages new actors, there are few newcomers introduced in this film. In the same way, we are introducing new comedians and actors in our next project and also giving chance for people who have made good short films.

Q) We have heard that in Chinni Krishna’s film, Karthika is playing your sisters role. Can you share few details?

A) Yes, Karthika is my twin sister in Chinni Krishna’s film. Till now we have seen many serious sister roles in films like ‘Putintiki Ra Chelli’ and ‘Rakhi’. But it is totally different in this film, she irritates me alot.

Q) Will you remake any of your father’s film?

A) I and my father planned to make sequels of three movies, ‘Jambalakidi Pamba’, ‘Alibaba Aradajan Dongalu’ and ‘Aa okkati Adakku’. But now I don’t want to spoil the name of these classic films. I will only try making new films with different scripts.

Q) Why have you reduced doing films these days? Are you ready to do multi-starrer movies?

A) Yes, due to few flop films I have reduced my count, but definitely I will speed up. This year, 2 films of mine are already released and there are 3 more in line. And in future, I will try finishing a film in 65 days (45 – Talkie, 20 – Songs). I am always ready for doing multi-starrer and I wanted to do different kinds of films. But producers believe that I can only make people laugh and are feared to offer me roles having negative shades.

Q) How will you continue your tag ‘Allari’?

A) ‘Allari’ is not that which we willingly used, as we were two Nareshes in ‘Dhanalaxmi I love You’, we prefixed ‘Allari’ to my name. When I turn 90 and people call me ‘Allarodu’, it gives a great feeling right!

With this we concluded the interview ans wished him a very Happy Birthday and best of luck for his future.
