Young and talented, Ruhani Sharma is making her debut with Chilasow which is being directed by Rahul Ravindran. On the eve of the film’s release, we caught up with her for a brief interview. here is the transcript.
About your background?
I have studied public administration and have been modeling since then. The makers of this film saw my pictures on Instagram and contacted me for this role. I showed them some of my Ads and after a brief audition, I was selected for this role.
Your role in the film?
I play a very independent girl who is very traditional in her values. My character is very inexpressive and gave me a lot of scopes to perform and I feel that I have done my best in the film. Luckily, all those who have seen the film have liked me and I hope others like me too.
How difficult was it to work in Telugu?
Initially, it was very tough but I worked hard on my diction and got the hang of the language. I used to watch a lot of South films in the past and pretty much how the emotions work. Now, I have watched all Nani films recently and am slowly getting my Telugu developed.
Working experience with Rahul Ravindran?
He worked really hard on us and was very particular about every single expression. Rahul was a tough taskmaster and used to explain us the scenes in detail and used to be very calm during the shoots. As he was an actor too, his suggestions were quite valuable.
What did you like the most in Sushanth?
He was very comfortable to work with throughout the film. We had some lovely conversation about cinema and he was a massive support during the shoot of this film.
Your ‘Ranbir Kapoor’ dialogue has become quite famous. What do you have to say?
That’s a totally relatable answer as every girl wants someone like Ranbir and the way things are placed in the scene looks quite funny and is relatable too.
