Akhanda is up for a release on December 2nd. On this occasion, we caught up with Thaman for a detailed interview. Here is the transcript.
How excited are you for Boyapati-Balayya’s Akhanda?
This deadly combo can never go wrong. I feel even if they make 100 films together, they will only give hits. This film will be a feast for Balayya fans as he has been showcased in a new manner.
Tell us about the BGM of Akhanda?
BGM will be a big highlight of the film as Balayya will be seen in two looks. For the Aghora part, we researched and did a lot of hard work. The sounding for that character will be quite different.
How has the film come out?
I can only say that this kind of film has never been tried before in Indian cinema before. It is not a regular mass commercial film and the audience will be quite thrilled with the music.
Tell us about the film’s music?
We have used close to 120 singers for this film and the chorus will play a huge part. There were five songs in the film and we had to remove one song as it was not necessary after seeing the final edit. Two more songs will be released at the pre-release event.
Balayya’s reaction to the music album?
He is a person who believes in science. So, he had given a lot of outputs for the music. He is a very genuine person and gave honest feedback after the songs were sent to him for the final output.
Working with the likes of Boyapati?
He is the kind of person who does not take it easy. He is always on his toes and also keeps people like us busy all the time. He has taken a different subject this time and showcased the film in a new manner. Akhanda is a really different film.
About the craze of Bheemla Nayak’s songs?
We are super happy with the response and lucky that we got good inputs from Trivikram sir. Both the songs are a rage and the best is yet to come.
Update on Mahesh’s Sarkaru Vaari Pata?
The musical promotions will start from the month of January. The shoot is yet to be done and I am super excited for that film’s album as it has come out well.
