A youthful entertainer titled Nachindi Girl Friendu, starring Uday Shankar and Jenifer in lead roles, is up for release on 11th November. Guru Pawan is directing this film, and Atluri Narayan Rao is producing it under the Sriram Movies banner. Gifton Elias is composing the music. Ahead of the film’s release, we interacted with the lead actor Uday Shankar about the film. Here is the transcript.

What’s the reason for working with director Guru Pawan?

Director Guru Pawan is a good friend of mine. I called after watching his first film Idhe Ma Katha. I told him that he successfully showed what he wanted to say. I thought of doing a thriller film backed by a love story. When I told this thing to Pawan, he crafted a story. He narrated this plot four years back. Pawan had improvised on the script by the time we started filming. As the audiences got updated after this OTT, the director ensured they would also like the film.

How would the film be?

The film’s story happens in 12 hours before sunrise and sunset. It will end by 6 PM. We discussed a social issue important to the nation’s security in this film. We shot 95% of the movie on Vizag’s outer road. I acted as Rajaram, who loves and goes after a girl in the movie. An unknown danger will affect the lead pair when the love story keeps happening. Jenifer Emmanuel acted well as the female lead.

What is more unique about Nachindi Girl Friendu?

We discussed an app named If I die in the film. Generally, when the soldiers are in the dying stage, they use this app to send important information about national security to their higher officials. This app is still in the trial stage. It might be available in two or three years. The movie will run based on this app. There would be a lot of twists that come in the second half. We also have scenes and characters relating to the share market.

What kind of films do you like to do?

I like the elements such as action, thriller, and humor. I feel uncomfortable performing romantic scenes. I will be seen in a single costume as the story happens in one day. We shot a song in Goa as the male lead has a fantasy. There won’t be any vulgarity in this song. There is no difference such as small and big films. Even if it’s a Bhojpuri film, if it is good, then the audience will encourage.

What about your future films?

The films I have done until now, like Aatagadhara Shiva, Mismatch, and Kshana Kshanam, are different from each other totally. I wanted to be like Adivi Sesh and Ayyushman Khurrana, who do different films. I hope that Samantha’s Yashoda, which is also releasing on the same day, does well. After this, I am doing a movie with Mohan, the brother of actor Madhunandhan. We will start that project for Sankranthi. We will make that film in the similar genre as Nachindi Girl Friendu.
