Released on March 21, 2015, Yevade Subramanyam, starring Nani, Vijay Deverakonda, Malavika Nair, and Ritu Varma in lead roles, marked the directorial debut of the talented filmmaker, Nag Ashwin. Yesterday, on its 10th anniversary, Yevade Subramanyam had a re-release across the twin Telugu states amid much anticipation.
Celebrating Nag Ashwin’s 10 years in the film industry, Vyjayanthi Movies, the banner that introduced Nag Ashwin with Yevade, took to social media and released a special video. The short video offers a few glimpses of the visionary filmmaker in action on the set of Yevade, Mahanati, and Kalki 2898 AD.
In the video, Nag Ashwin reveals that had he not joined the Manipal University, he too would have ended up becoming an engineer or a doctor. The video also features NTR and Rajamouli alongside Nag Ashwin.
On the work front, Nag Ashwin is planning to take the highly anticipated sequel to Kalki from this year end. He is also rumored to be in talks with a Bollywood superstar for a pan-India project. Stay tuned for further updates.
