Megastar Chiranjeevi is one of the most celebrated actors in Telugu cinema and was last seen in two films in 2023. While Waltair Veerayya was a massive hit, Bhola Shankar turned out to be a major flop. He faced heavy trolling for giving the green light to the film in the first place.
In response, Chiranjeevi decided to take a break and shift gears. He signed a film titled Vishwambhara with young director Vassishta. Initially planned for a release at the end of 2024, the film’s production delays pushed its release to Sankranthi 2025.
However, that date has also been postponed, as Chiranjeevi sacrificed the much-anticipated holiday release window for his son Ram Charan’s film, Game Changer, which is set to hit screens on January 10, 2025.
As a result, Chiranjeevi didn’t have a single film release in 2024. Fans missed him dearly throughout the year. However, December brought good news as Chiranjeevi signed a new film with young director Srikanth Odela of Dasara fame. This project is expected to be a high-octane action drama.
Looking ahead to 2025, Chiranjeevi will have two releases: Vishwambhara and Srikanth Odela’s film. Additionally, there are rumors that he will greenlight another project with a prominent director. Let’s see how things unfold.
