Sunny Deol is back in action with his latest film Jaat, directed by popular Telugu filmmaker Gopichand Malineni. The movie is all set for a grand release tomorrow and has already created a buzz thanks to its promotions. Randeep Hooda plays the antagonist, adding to the excitement.
The film has received a U/A certificate from the CBFC, but not without controversy. It underwent changes in 22 scenes, with the board objecting to several cuss words and derogatory language. These were replaced with milder terms like Madarjaat, Nikamma, Besharmo, and a few others.
Interestingly, some words with national significance were also altered – ‘Bharat’ was changed to ‘Hamara,’ and ‘Central’ became ‘Local.’ Scenes depicting humiliation and molestation were also toned down.
In addition, around 10 scenes involving graphic visuals – such as a throat-slitting, misleading a child, and Indian currency shown under someone’s feet – were modified using CGI.
The film’s final runtime is locked at 2 hours and 33 minutes. All eyes are now on the box office to see how Jaat fares with the audience. Produced by People Media Factory and Mythri Movie Makers, the film features music by Thaman.
