In an interview, Sesh revealed the reason behind the name change. Adivi Sesh said, “In fact, in my original name, Sesh isn’t even there. When I was in the States, people teased me because of my name. There was an orange-flavored drink called Sunny Delight. Also, that was the time Sunny Leone got popular. Young boys were teasing me since I have Sunny in my name.”
Adivi Sesh continued, “I told my dad that people are teasing me because of my name. Dad told me that Sesh was also part of my name and that I could use it. I was quite surprised when he told me that. My father is a big fan of Sunil Gavaskar and hence, he named me Sunny. Then, I started using Sesh in my name. After coming to India, I realized Sesh is a common name.”
