The trailer for Prabhas and Kriti Sanon’s highly-anticipated mythological magnum opus, Adipurush, was screened for a few select fans at AMB Cinemas in Hyderabad yesterday evening and received a thumping response. This afternoon, the makers will be unveiling the trailer on YouTube, followed by a theatrical screening of the trailer in over 70 countries this evening.

And here comes a pleasant surprise. Adipurush’s trailer has been praised by Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra. The Minister, who had strongly criticised Adipurush’s teaser in October last year, took to Twitter and lauded the film’s trailer. Dr. Mishra, who watched the trailer during his recent meeting with the film’s producer Bhushan Kumar and writer Manoj Muntashir, congratulated them and the entire team ahead of the film’s release.

Soon after Adipurush’s teaser launch last year, Narottam Mishra had raised strong objections against the portrayal of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lord Hanuman and demon king Ravan. He said that the religious sentiments of the majority have been hurt and even sent a letter to Adipurush’s director Om Raut, demanding immediate removal of all the objectionable scenes from the movie. The film opens in cinemas on June 16.
