Agent’s theatrical rights sold for a solid price

Hero Akhil and director Surender Reddy’s highly-anticipated spy thriller, Agent, is fast nearing completion. Meanwhile, the makers are closing the pre-release business deals for solid amounts. The ultra positive buzz around the film is doing the wonders for its makers.

According to the latest updates, Agent’s theatrical rights for the entire Andhra, Nizam and Ceded areas have been sold for nearly Rs 35 crore. Noted Vizag film distributor Satish of Gayathri Devi Films has acquired Agent’s theatrical rights for the twin Telugu states by shelling out such a hefty amount.

Also starring Mollywood stalwart Mammootty and Sakshi Vaidya in lead roles, Agent is being jointly produced by Anil Sunkara and Surender Reddy. The film has its soundtrack composed by popular Kollywood music director Hiphop Tamizha. The film is slated for release on April 28.
