Alia Bhatt is back in action with her new film Jigra. The action drama also has Vedang Raina and has been produced by Karan Johar on his Dharma Productions banner.
Well, the latest update is that Jigra is the official remake of Karan Johar’s own film Gumrah which was released in 1983 and was produced by his dad Yash Johar.
The film is about a man who goes to insane lengths to save his lover who is lodged in a prison in a foreign country. In Jigra, the makers have made changes and it is the heroine who goes on a mission to save her brother. But the story, setting and emotions are the same as per the news.
Sridevi, Sanjay Dutt, and Rahul Roy played lead roles in Gumrah which was a massive flop at the box office. We need to see how Jigra turns out to be.
