Even after 2 decades since its release, the popular sitcom ‘Amrutham’ continues to be celebrated in every Telugu household. The acclaimed series was created by senior writer-director Gunnam Gangaraju. He went on to write the path-breaking thrillers Aithe and Anukokunda Oka Roju and also directed the award-winning movies Little Soldiers and Amma Cheppindi. Gunnam has been on a break since the release of his son Sandeep Gunnam’s directorial debut film, Amrutham Dhvitheeyam, which he scripted.
And here’s an exciting update for all the fans of Gunnam Gangaraju. The veteran master is all set to make a comeback with Dulquer Salmaan’s recently announced project, Aakasam Lo Oka Tara. Gunnam took to X and revealed that scripting Dulquer’s AOT seemed like an actualisation of his favourite Seetharama Sastry song, “Ningi entha pedhdhadhaina rivvu manna guvva pilla rekka mundhu thakkuvenu ra,” dropping a hint about the film’s main theme.
Aakasam Lo Oka Tara will be directed by Pavan Sadineni and produced jointly under the Vyjayanthi Movies, Geetha Arts, and Lightbox Media banners.
