AP CM Chandrababu Naidu telephones Rajinikanth; wishes him a speedy recovery

Fans of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth have been anxious ever since the reports of his hospitalization went viral yesterday. The Apollo Hospital authorities in Chennai issued a health bulletin in which they informed all the worried fans that Rajini is doing well and is stable.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu reportedly telephoned Rajinikanth and inquired about his well-being. Chandrababu also wished his dear friend a speedy recovery. Chandrababu also took to X and tweeted, “Wishing my friend, superstar @rajinikanth a speedy and full recovery. I pray for his health and longevity.”

Rajinikanth was admitted to the hospital late Monday night after he complained of severe stomach pain. The hospital’s health bulletin revealed that the veteran Superstar had a swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart (aorta), and that it was treated by a non-surgical, transcatheter method. Doctors placed a stent in the aorta, completely sealing off the swelling. The 73-year-old stalwart will be discharged in 2 days.
