Legendary actor Kamal Haasan’s highly-anticipated pan-India patriotic drama, Indian 2 (Bharateeyudu 2 in Telugu), is all set for its world theatrical release tonight. Indian, which was released in 1996, enjoys cult status among fans and movie lovers even after almost 3 decades of its release. Naturally, expectations are quite high for the sequel.

Just a few hours before the film’s world premieres, Indian 2’s director Shankar revealed that Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman, who composed a timeless music album for Indian, will be part of Indian 2. Shankar went on to reveal that Indian’s theme music by AR Rahman has been used by Anirudh Ravichander in Indian 2. Shankar thanked both his composers for this amazing gesture.

Indian 2 also features Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Samuthirakhani, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and several other prominent stars in pivotal roles. The film is produced under the Lyca Productions banner. Stay tuned to 123telugu for Indian 2’s FDFS updates and the review.
