Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar finally made his IPL debut for the Mumbai Indians in yesterday’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders. Arjun had bowled 2 overs and conceded 13 runs, giving his team the much-needed edge in the powerplay. MI eventually defeated KKR in a thrilling encounter.
KKR owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is thrilled with Arjun’s debut. He took to Twitter and penned a heartfelt tweet for Arjun and Sachin. “As competitive as this IPL may be… but when u see a friends son #ArjunTendulkar take the field it is a matter of such happiness and joy. Wish Arjun all the best and @sachin_rt what a proud moment!! Wow!,” (sic) Shah Rukh tweeted.
The proud and happy dad, Sachin, tweeted, “Arjun, you have worked very hard to reach here, and I am sure you will continue to do so. This is the start of a beautiful journey.”
