Baby John was produced on a grand scale and had everything working in its favor. The film’s promotional campaign further elevated the hype ahead of the release.
Although the initial reviews were decent, the action drama was unfortunately rejected at the box office. The opening day numbers were underwhelming, and the film has since failed commercially.
Negative word-of-mouth has spread rapidly, leading to the film being pulled from several screens. In Mumbai and other parts of the country, Baby John is being replaced by the Malayalam film Marco.
Varun Dhawan had high hopes for this film, a remake of Theri. However, the project failed to resonate, and it has now been officially declared a flop.
