Baby’s non-theatrical rights sold for a bomb

The much-talked-about youthful romantic drama, Baby, released this morning to a largely positive response from critics and movie lovers alike. The film will surely capitalize on the solid word of mouth and post massive numbers at the box office over the weekend. On the other hand, this much-needed success has helped Baby fetch handsome deals for the non-theatrical rights.

As per the latest updates, Baby’s non-theatrical rights have been sold for a cool Rs 7.50 crore. The deal includes the film’s audio, satellite and OTT rights. Incidentally, Baby’s total budget is around Rs 10 crore. Apparently, the makers had opted for own release in crucial regions such as Nizam and Uttarandhra, while they had sold off the rights to the remaining areas.

Starring Anand Deverakonda, Vaishnavi Chaitanya and Viraj Ashwin in lead roles, Baby is directed by Sai Rajesh and produced by SKN. Vijai Bulganin’s soulful soundtrack is one of the main highlights of the movie.
