The controversy surrounding Tollywood celebrities endorsing betting apps continues to escalate, with several actors now facing legal scrutiny. Initially, complaints were filed against Rana Daggubati, Ananya Nagalla, and Nidhhi Agerwal for promoting betting platforms on social media. Now, a fresh case has been registered against Nandamuri Balakrishna, Tottempudi Gopichand, and Uppalapati Venkata Surya Narayana Prabhas Raju, popularly known as Prabhas.

The complaint alleges that the three actors promoted a Chinese betting app, Fun88, which operates via Google Chrome. The app is accused of deceiving lakhs of users by luring them into playing games and losing money, with funds being funneled through mule accounts. Complainant Rama Rao Immaneni further claims that the app is linked to a banned Chinese gaming platform, violating the Telangana Gaming Amendment Act, 2017, and the Digital Media Ethics Code.

Given these allegations, the complaint urges authorities to block public access to the app, citing national security risks. It also calls for legal action under Section 66F(B) of the Information Technology Act and other relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). While the investigation is underway, no arrests have been made so far, and it remains to be seen how the police will proceed with the case.
