Bharateeyudu 2 is all set to hit the screens this July 12th, and there is a decent buzz for the film. The pre-release event was held in Hyderabad the other day and there was a decent response for it.
On the other hand, the latest update is that the theatrical rights in Telugu states have been locked at 24 crore. This is a massive amount and to recover this, Bharateeyudu 2 needs to take a gigantic start at the box office.
All this will only happen if the word of mouth for the film is positive from the first show itself. As the Kalki 2898 AD fever has slowed down a bit, Bharateeyudu 2 will find takers if the talk is good. Also, as it is a sequel to Bharateeyudu, there will be fans of the film who would love to watch the sequel.
Shankar has directed Bharateeyudu 2, with Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, and Rakul Preet Singh in key roles. Anirudh scores the music.
