This Eid season will see two Bollywood releases which are Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan. The first film is an action thriller headlined by Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. On the other hand, Maidaan is a biographical film that is spearheaded by Ajay Devgn. These movies are initially scheduled for April 10 release.
However, the latest news is that the release of both these movies has been pushed back by one day. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan will now have their full-fledged release on April 11. However, these two flicks will have paid premieres all over India on April 10 from 6 PM.
Now, you might be wondering why the movies are postponed at the last minute and the logic behind having paid premieres. The release was planned for April 10 as the makers expected the Eid to fall on that date, but now the festival is on April 11.
If the movies hit the screens on Wednesday, the openings might take a beating due to the Pre-Eid factor, and also, there is extremely low interest among the audiences for these films. Also, low openings might send negative signals to the public. Based on these factors, the release date is said to have been postponed. Only if the content is good will these two biggies rake in good box office numbers.
