Raid, headlined by Bollywood Mass Maharaj Ajay Devgn, turned out to be a superhit at the box office. The movie is based on India’s longest income tax raid conducted on a Sikh industrialist. Ajay Devgn and Saurabh Shukla’s performance, along with Raj Kumar Gupta’s brilliant direction, made Raid a solid film. It was remade in Telugu as Mr. Bachchan by Ravi Teja, but the remake version failed miserably.
Long ago, the makers of Raid announced Raid 2, and the opening ceremony was graced by Mr. Bachchan’s team. Back then, it was revealed that the film would release on November 15, 2024. The delay in the release of Ajay Devgn’s other film, Singham Again, made Raid 2’s postponement inevitable. Raid 2 makers have now officially confirmed the postponement.
Ajay Devgn will return to the big screens as Amay Patnaik on February 21, 2025, and the team released a brand new poster to notify the same. Ileana played the female lead in the first installment, but Vaani Kapoor replaced her in this crazy sequel. Ritesh Deshmukh and Rajat Kapoor are playing vital roles. Raj Kumar Gupta is directing this second part as well. T-Series Films, in association with Panorama Studios, is bankrolling this flick.
