There is no doubt in saying that 2023 has been a solid year for King Shah Rukh. With Jawan, the actor has erased all the existing records in Bollywood. Now the million-dollar question is whether or not Prabhas starrer Salaar will surpass Jawan to become the highest Indian grosser of this year. As of now, Jawan is the highest Indian grosser of 2023, with over 1154 crores worldwide.
So Salaar should surpass the collections of Jawan to bestow this honor. Salaar movie team’s innovative marketing strategy became successful in grabbing the attention of viewers. Also, an interview with master storyteller SS Rajamouli and the songs released so far fueled the massive hype around it. But the box office collections in the long run entirely bank on word of mouth.
One more important thing to note here is that Salaar is clashing with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki. Having Shruthi Hassan as the lady love of Prabhas, Salaar boasts an impressive cast of Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, and Eeshwari Rao in other pivotal roles. Hombale Films bankrolled this movie on a grand scale.
