CBFC suggests four cuts in NTR’s Devara; Deets inside

Tollywood star NTR’s highly anticipated pan-India action drama, Devara, is gearing up for its world theatrical release on September 27. The theatrical trailer for this Koratala Siva directorial was unveiled a couple of days ago to a positive response from fans.

It’s well known that Devara’s censorship formalities were completed recently with a UA certification. The censor report is out, and the CBFC had suggested four cuts in the movie. While three of the cuts suggested were violent in nature, the fourth one was about inserting a CGI mark on the screen for the Shark visual.

Following the CBFC’s directions, the visuals of a man kicking his wife, a man’s body hanging on a sword, and a son kicking his mother were slightly altered, without compromising on the desired impact of the respective shots. After these corrections, Devara’s new runtime is about 177 minutes and 58 seconds.

Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor will be seen in lead roles in Devara. Produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Mikkilineni Sudhakar, and Kosaraju Hari Krishna, this high-budget entertainer has its soundtrack composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
