The 10th edition of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) commenced yesterday in Sharjah. In a thrilling showdown, Telugu Warriors emerged victorious in their first match against their last season’s finalists, Bhojpuri Dabbangs.
By displaying exceptional teamwork and skills on the field, Telugu Warriors, headed by Akhil Akkineni, secured the thrilling win and set a promising tone for the rest of the matches. Bhojpuri Dabbangs won the toss & elected to bowl first. Telugu Warriors went on to score 94 for the loss of 3 wickets in their first innings.
Bhojpuri Dabbangs surpassed Telugu Warriors by a small margin of 9 runs in their first innings. In the second innings, Telugu Warriors went on to score 118 for a loss of 1 wicket and restricted Bhojpuri Dabbangs to just 101 runs in their second innings, ensuring their first win in the tournament. Ashwin Babu bagged the Badshah of the Match, and Victory Venkatesh handed him the trophy.
