At an event, Rowdy Boy Vijay Deverakonda interacted with Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi. Vijay said that he felt emotional watching Megastar’s journey in the AV. The young actor stated that he never thought he would be where he is today. Vijay Deverakonda asked Chiranjeevi if the latter imagined becoming a Megastar and Padma Vibhushan awardee.
Chiranjeevi said, “That imagination didn’t happen in a single day. I used to see some visuals in my mind constantly. I performed in dramas in school and college, for which I received the Best Actor awards. People used to identify me and praise me. I used to feel very proud. That appreciation instilled a desire in me. I learned that celebrities would get huge attention. I kept working towards my dream and prayed to my favorite god, Lord Hanuman. As I believed in myself, I made it big in the industry. I knew I would achieve such status.”
Vijay Deverakonda said that Chiranjeevi also came from a middle-class family. He asked Chiru who the family star was in the latter’s family. Chiranjeevi said that his father was his family hero and family star. “Even though my father earned a meager amount, he looked after my mother’s sisters. Surekha and I decided to celebrate all the important occasions with the whole family, no matter how prominent everyone was. I feel all the misunderstandings and inhibitions will be cleared with such family reunions,” stated Chiranjeevi.
