Devara in Nizam: Are these the tentative ticket rates for 12 AM and 4 AM shows?

Tollywood star NTR’s pan-India action drama, Devara, is one of the most eagerly awaited biggies of this year. The Koratala Siva directorial marks Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor’s debut in Tollywood. The film is scheduled to open in cinemas worldwide on September 27. Needless to say, the hype and expectations for the movie are sky-high among fans and trade circles.

Devara is one of the most expensive projects in NTR’s career, and over Rs 200 crores are riding on this prestigious film, with close to Rs 42 crore in the Nizam region. To give the film a special boost and recover a major chunk of the huge investments, Devara makers have appealed to the Telangana government for special permission to hike the ticket prices in the state.

Apparently, Devara producers Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Mikkilineni Sudhakar, and Kosaraju Hari Krishna have sought permission to increase the ticket prices up to Rs 1,000 per ticket for the 12 AM shows and Rs 500 for the 4 AM shows. Even the film’s ticket prices throughout the first week are expected to be around Rs 295. We will have to see if the government grants the necessary permission to the makers.
