NTR’s PAN Indian action drama Devara had a stupendous start at the ticket windows. According to early estimates, the worldwide number will be over Rs. 140 crores. The action drama helmed by Koratala Siva collected an outstanding Rs. 54.21 crore share in both Telugu states, which is only next to the massive multi-starrer RRR.
In Nizam, Devara took a terrific opening with a distributor share of Rs. 19.32 crores (numbers provided by PR). Devara’s Nizam opening is all time second biggest after RRR. NTR’s star power, extra shows, and huge ticket rates surge are the main reasons behind this thunderous start. The prices are revised from day two, and this move should bring more family audiences to theatres.
Devara features Bollywood stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in crucial roles. The big-ticket entertainer is jointly bankrolled by Kosaraju Harikrishna and Sudhakar Mikkilineni under the banners of NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts. Rockstar Anirudh composed the tunes.
