Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is set to portray a British spy in the upcoming pan-Indian period spy thriller Devil, scheduled to hit screens in multiple languages on December 29, 2023. Samyuktha plays the female lead in this film.
As the movie’s release date approaches, Naveen Medaram, the director initially attached to the project, took to Instagram to express that Devil represents his unwavering three-year effort and is akin to a personal creation.
He stated, “From conceptualising the script to developing the screenplay, meticulously selecting costumes and fabrics, choosing locations, and designing sets, every element of the film bears my personal touch, realising my artistic vision. I shot the entire film for 105 days in various locations like Karaikudi, Vizag, and Hyderabad (except for a few days of patchwork), making Devil truly my own creation.”
The filmmaker clarified that he did not make any mistakes and dispelled rumours of taking legal action against any individual or the movie. Despite his disappointment, the director commended Kalyan Ram’s efforts and wished him success. He concluded by revealing that he is currently working on the script for another film, which will be unveiled soon. The post he shared on Instagram quickly went viral.
Producer Abhishek Nama is the movie’s director. The film boasts an impressive cast, including Malvika Nair, Ajay, Satya, and Edward Sonnenblick. Under the banner of Abhishek Pictures, with the creative touch of Srikanth Vissa in the story, dialogues, and screenplay, Devil promises to be a cinematic treat. Harshavardhan Rameshwar serves as the composer.
