Young and passionate director Prasanth Varma has become the talk of tinseltown following the release of the blockbuster Hanu-Man, starring Teja Sajja and in the titular role. The superhero movie, released in 5 Indian languages, recently celebrated its 100-day theatrical run in 25 centers.
Prior to the movie’s release, the makers had officially announced that it would be released in 5 international languages: English, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. However, the movie was eventually released only in 5 Indian languages and created havoc at the box office both domestically and internationally.
It’s been around 4 months, and Prasanth Varma hasn’t revealed any updates about the release of Hanu-Man in foreign languages. But he didn’t discuss anything about it during the 100-day celebration event held last evening in Hyderabad.
However, he mentioned that the sequel to Hanu-Man, titled Jai Hanuman, will be released in IMAX 3D format, which unfortunately remains an unfulfilled dream for audiences in the Telugu states. The filming of the sequel will begin soon, and many star actors from different film industries will be a part of the movie.
So, it seems that Prasanth Varma completely shelved the idea of releasing Hanu-Man in international languages, which has the potential to draw attention and admiration for the Indian superhero, Hanuman. However, we need to wait for the filmmaker’s response.
