In a recent interview, Dil Raju spoke about how producers suffered during COVID-19. The ace producer stated that several filmmakers preferred OTT platforms to make money during the pandemic. However, Dil Raju was sure people would flock to the theatres if the content was good.
Dil Raju said, “Theatrical experience is a different thing altogether. One can’t get such a feeling by watching a movie at home. The best example of this is Bollywood. Their films failed miserably a year ago, and many thought their chapter was finished. But the Hindi film industry bounced back strongly in 2023.”
Dil Raju continued, “The tides have turned this year. The box office numbers of Bollywood movies this year are outstanding. Shah Rukh Khan sir delivered two big blockbusters, and recently, Animal struck gold at the box office. The numbers are there for all to see. So as filmmakers, we need to provide the audience with the content that they wish to see.”
