The grapevine in the Tollywood film circles is that Ram Charan’s Game Changer will hit the big screens during the Sankranthi season. Directed by Shankar, Game Changer is a political action drama produced on a massive budget by Dil Raju. At an event, the ace producer revealed how tough it was to secure the title rights.
He said, “When the director said he is considering Game Changer as the title for Ram Charan’s film, we checked its availability in all languages. As it is a PAN-Indian film, we wanted a uniform title across languages. But we didn’t get the title rights in one language. We had discussions with those filmmakers and finally got the rights. Only after acquiring the rights in all languages, we made an official announcement.”
Dil Raju added, “That’s the problem with PAN Indian films. You cannot have different titles for different languages. If someone from another industry registers the same title, it will be one hell of a job to secure the rights. There will be a lot of discussions involved with the ones who have the rights.”
