Indian 2, directed by Shankar and starring Kamal Haasan, is one of the most anticipated films of 2024. The first part was a sensational blockbuster and achieved cult status among audiences. After several delays, Indian 2 is finally scheduled to be released on July 12, 2024, in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
Yesterday, the team launched the theatrical trailer of Indian 2. It is receiving mixed responses from the audience. In yesterday’s press meet, director Shankar revealed the reason behind making Indian 2 into two parts. He said, ” While the story of Indian 1 revolved only around one state, the story of Indian 2 revolves across all the states. So naturally the story became big.”
He added, “Initially, the plan was to create only one part. But after seeing the scenes in the editing room every scene came out very well. We didn’t want to compromise on the essence of the story. So we made the decision to split Indian 2 into two parts.”
Indian 2, a joint production of Lyca Productions and Red Giant Films, boasts a star-studded cast including Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, SJ Suryah, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, and Brahmanandam in crucial roles. Rock Star Anirudh is composing the music.
