This Diwali season, Dulquer Salmaan’s Lucky Baskhar, Kiran Abbavaram’s KA, and Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran locked horns at the Tollywood box office. These films belong to different genres, and interestingly, all three received positive responses from critics and audiences.
The new releases had a phenomenal opening in Nizam territory, with Lucky Baskhar leading the day-one numbers. This Dulquer Salmaan starrer collected a distributor share of Rs. 1.4 crores, while Amaran raked in Rs. 1.15 crores share. Kiran Abbavaram’s KA registered Rs. 66 lakhs share, and all these figures are exclusive of GST.
The day-one shares of Lucky Baskhar and KA include the collections from special premieres. As the reports are very encouraging, these films are set to rule the Nizam box office, cashing in on the long weekend advantage. Lucky Baskhar is a financial crime drama directed by Venky Atluri. Meenakshi Chaudhary played the female lead.
KA is a rural action drama with a rooted storyline. Sujith and Sandeep directed the film, which features Nayan Sarika as the female lead. Amaran is a biopic of an Indian soldier directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. Sai Pallavi played the female lead.
