Dunki: Team devises a key strategy to attract the south audience

Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki is hitting the big screens tomorrow. The social comedy-drama directed by Rajkumar Hirani is based on the illegal immigration method called “Donkey Flights.” Pathaan and Jawan were released in Telugu and Tamil languages, but Dunki isn’t releasing. Even the earlier films of Hirani weren’t dubbed in other languages, but they were remade.

The team has now come up with a key strategy to attract south audience. Accordingly, Dunki will be screened along with English subtitles in all the theatres across Kerala and Tamil Nadu. In Telangana, a few theatres will be playing the subtitles. As there will be a bit of Punjabi in the film, this surely is a good move. A few opine that Dunki should have been released in south languages too, but the word is that the essence of the film can be communicated well only in Hindi.

The movie stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, Boman Irani, and others in prominent roles. As of now, the bookings are decent, and we need to see how much the film will rake on its opening day. Pritam rendered the soundtracks, while the film was produced by Hirani and Gauri Khan.
