Notable Telugu filmmaker Gunasekhar has faced a huge setback with the failure of the mythological drama Shaakuntalam, headlined by Samantha. His last two films were high-budget, big-scale projects, but this time, he is coming up with a youthful entertainer titled Euphoria that will mostly feature newcomers. Today, the makers unveiled the film’s glimpse at an event in Hyderabad.
Ace producer Dil Raju attended it. From the early looks of it, Euphoria appears to be a social drama highlighting contemporary societal issues. A young lady who has taken drugs enters a metro train, and she begins imagining weird things. This is the opening sequence of the glimpse, and Gunasekhar grabs our attention instantly, showcasing the side effects of drugs.
From there, the glimpse depicts the lifestyle of a few rich kids who enjoy life like there is no tomorrow. Suddenly, the teaser jumps into a serious tone with a few youngsters molesting a girl. This is followed by a scene where a group of people hold a protest condemning the sexual assaults on women. All in all, the glimpse looks highly promising.
Will Gunasekhar make a comeback with Euphoria? It seems like he will. Till now, 60% of the shoot has been wrapped up, and very soon, the makers will complete the balance portions. Euphoria is being bankrolled by Gunasekhar’s home banner, Guna Handmade Films.
Bhumika Chawla, Sara Arjun, Nassar, Rohith, Vignesh Gavireddy, Likhitha Yalamanchali, Addala Prudhviraj, Kalpa Latha, and others are playing vital roles. Kaala Bhairava is composing the tunes.
