Last Friday saw multiple Telugu films hitting the big screen, but most failed to make an impact. Despite their theatrical release, they remained largely unnoticed by audiences and struggled at the box office.
Films like Naari, Jigel, Raa Raju, Shivangi, 14 Days… Girlfriend Intlo, and several others failed to draw crowds. Meanwhile, the Hindi blockbuster Chhaava had its Telugu release on the same day, along with GV Prakash Kumar’s 25th film Kingston. However, apart from Chhaava, none of the films managed to create any buzz. Even Kingston couldn’t make a mark due to its execution and storytelling issues.
With Holi just around the corner, new releases like Court: State vs A Nobody, Dilruba, and the Telugu-dubbed Officer on Duty are gearing up for release. It remains to be seen whether these films can break the dry spell at the Tollywood box office.
