Kannada film Kantara starring Rishab Shetty, has set new benchmarks in Sandalwood. Apart from playing the lead role, Rishab also directed this village action drama. The Telugu and Hindi versions also performed exceptionally in theatres. The performance of Rishab Shetty left the audience in awe.
In the 100 days event of Kantara, Rishab said he would soon make Kantara 2. He also clarified the film would be a prequel and not a sequel. Now the latest buzz on social media is that Kantara 2 will go on floors during the last week of August.
The word is that Kantara 2 will be made on a bigger scale than Kantara. Rishab Shetty is said to have locked the script, as per a few reports. Vijay Kiragandur will produce Kantara 2 under Hombale Films. Can Kantara 2 recreate Kantara’s magic? We shall wait and see.
