Filming begins for Mohanlal-Mammootty’s multi-starrer in Sri Lanka

A historic moment for Mollywood fans as Mohanlal and Mammootty come together for a film after more than two decades. This highly anticipated project features not only these two legends but also Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, and Nayanthara. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, it’s set to be one of the biggest films in Malayalam cinema.

Mohanlal arrived in Sri Lanka earlier, and recently, Mammootty and Kunchacko Boban joined the crew. The film began production with a ceremonial lamp-lighting, attended by Mohanlal, Rajesh Krishna, Salim Sharjah, Anura Mathai, and Tejas Thampi. Co-producer Subhash George Manuel did the switch-on, while C.R. Salim gave the first clap.

Produced by Anto Joseph, with co-producers C.R. Salim and Subhash George Manuel, the film is written by Mahesh Narayanan. Rajesh Krishna and C.V. Sarathy are the executive producers. The cast also includes Ranji Panicker, Rajiv Menon, Danish Husain, Shaheen Siddique, Sanal Aman, Revathi, Darshana Rajendran, Sereen Shihab, and Prakash Belawadi.

The film’s cinematography is by Bollywood’s Manush Nandan. It will be shot in multiple locations, including Sri Lanka, London, Abu Dhabi, Azerbaijan, Thailand, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Delhi, and Kochi, over 150 days. Distributed by ANN Mega Media, this film is expected to make a huge impact on Malayalam cinema. More details will be revealed soon.
