The much-awaited ‘First Shot’ of hero Vishal’s 34th movie, Rathnam, was released yesterday amid a lot of buzz. The film marks Vishal’s hat-trick collaboration with mass action entertainers specialist Hari, after Bharani and Pooja.
Rathnam’s first shot starts off on a gripping note, with several lorries rushing through herds of buffaloes and horses and then heading towards giant idols of Gods. Vishal gets off a lorry and beheads a mysterious man whose hands are tied. Finally, the movie’s title is revealed as Rathnam, totally soaked in blood. Music composer Devi Sri Prasad’s pulsating background score enhances the mood of the first shot.
Needless to say, the shocking and gory first shot of Rathnam has become a hot topic on social media. Fans and netizens are of the opinion that Vishal and Hari are all set to push the ‘mass horizon’ on their third collaboration.
Priya Bhavani Shankar is the female lead of Rathnam, while popular Tamil actor-filmmakers Samuthirakani and Gautham Vasudev Menon will be seen in crucial roles. Kaarthekeyen Santhanam and Zee Studios together are producing the movie. The film is slated to hit theaters in summer next year.
