Kaithi was a landmark film in Karthi’s career. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie showcased a new dimension in action thriller filmmaking. Karthi gained immense popularity for his role as Dilli in the film, and it crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. It is well-known that a sequel to this successful film is in the works.
As per the latest buzz, Kaithi 2’s shooting is scheduled to commence in the second half of 2025. Before that actor Karthi is going to complete the shooting of Sardar 2 and Karthi 29. Meanwhile, director Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently busy with Super Star Rajinikanth’s Coolie. He will wrap up Coolie before starting the Kaithi 2.
